A 2011 case-study presents the marriage of a flexible telecommunications platform to a custom-developed GIS module to provide real-time regional call routing for Childline, a child-crisis hot- line servicing all of South Africa. The background story and a technical overview of the platform are presented before concluding with a demonstration of the business-intelligence system used to analyze the call patterns.
